I've just learnt about the soon release of Hytale (i don't know how i didn't see it earlier 😭)
And i decided to host my host Anarchy server, tho i've came accross yours in the official list, and wondered if you would be accepting peoples for maintaining the server in the future.
Because i think i can sustain a server myself for few month, but to truly become the oldest anarchy server, you need to stay alive, and i don't have the expertise of marketing etc.. to keep the server alive socially, but only the technical expertise to ensure its working.
I would love to be part of this adventure if you're down to it too !
I've seen other anarchy server projects, but yours seems like the most stable one, and i don't want to be part of a short term project

to be fair theres 10 anarchy servers so far, and u joined joined the two biggest
its me and 2b2h and the rest are a bit smaller projects

even oganarchy only has half my members and is WAY less active
and thats the 3rd biggest
anyways what exactly are u asking? to be a admin for an anarchy server? thats impossible, maybe im not understanding what your asking. anarchy servers usually dont have staff, the whole point is theres no government and its lawless and so moderators arent needed, at all.
And its mostly vanilla so plugins are minimal
so devs arent needed either

Not an admin, but a maintainer on the technical side (cause of course an admin for an anarchy server is not usefull xD)
I want to be part of the peoples ensuring the server runs at all time, is joinable, doesn't lag etc..
Literally what i guess you're already doing right now, but without an external server provider when it'll be possible, to lower costs and have better performances

thanks for the offer but like, by definition, we dont have staff. If i need a dev ill probably pay someone for the one time fix, like on Fiverr or similar.

also im broke all the funds go to paying for hosting, the website, etc, so i cant pay you

and lastly your basically asking for SSH or phpadmin access or whatever its called, which is a security risk. 2b2t was famous for having backdoors so 'download this plugin!' is something i have to watch out for, even if your a formal manager for a known project

we cant have any co owners or internal devs as that violates our no government rule

The only reason i exist is its impossbible to run a server without at least 1 person to maintain it

I really dont need help, i can use ai or pay someone to fix things
I dont need some guy having file or console access 24/7 or even for a brief window as they can download files

So thanks for the over having a dev would be nice but for security reasons and anarchy principles, i am required to say no

First of all, im not asking for any payment, i purely want to help on the side and be part of the adventure in this way. (Unless perhaps in the future you're making so much money that you want to give me some lol, i wouldn't complain)
I also understand having peoples access the server is a security risk, but i think 2 persons is in the ok limit if you fully trust them. We of course don't know each other so that's sad on that part.
I don't want to be any kind of admin or developer (i don't even know how to code in Java (yet?)), but more a global maintainer, that can handle the hard tech stuff (DNS, hosting, routing, load balancing, replication, backups, ...), and on anarchy principle, having 2 peoples maintaining the server and being ready to fix lag, map corruption, network issues and more is way better. On a sadder note, if you were to die tomorrow and you’re the only one maintaining the server, it would simply disappear-

Though, i understand your concerns and respect them. Please note that if you ever need help on networking or hosting side, you can feel free to DM me and i'll happily help you out.
I am a network engineer, and host all sorts of servers in my spare time (Homelabbing) including minecraft ones.

Also i really don't recommend using AI to solve issue, especially on an Anarchy server :')

i could, but your project is much more interesting to me, i don't want to help on any project, i want to help on a real meaningful one that i know will work out because in the end i wouldn't be paid and invest my time in it. I want it to be good

Okay, I understand your point of view now, but my decision is final.

Shared infrastructure access, even limited to two trusted people, is something I will never do for this server. Single-maintainer ownership is a deliberate design choice, risk and all.

So while I really appreciate the interest and the offer, and think your offer is a bit cool to recieve, this isn’t something I’ll reconsider now or in the future.

I wish you the best with other projects, i looked at your bio link and saw u do a bunch of stuff.
